Irazu + Basilica + Orosi Hotsprings
Duration: 9 Hours
Location: Cartago, Central Valley
Estimated Departure from San José: Between 06:30 A.M. – 07:30 A.M.

We begin our journey on the South Panamerican Highway, heading up the mighty “Irazú.” The winding road cuts through fertile land, abundant with crops, offering stunning panoramic views along the way.
At the volcano's summit, you'll be able to view the main craters, and on clear days, both the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea can be seen.
As we make our way down to Cartago, we’ll visit the Basilica of Our Lady of the Angels, a renowned pilgrimage site for many devout visitors.
Surrounded by lush rainforest, La Hacienda Orosi is a place blessed with natural hypothermal mineral waters. These rejuvenating springs, with their telluric (non-magmatic or volcanic) waters, filter through the earth’s layers and emerge in the heart of the rainforest at temperatures over 65°C.
The rich minerals, salts, and ions in the water nourish the skin and stimulate the senses. Hacienda Orosi is a mystical land where positive energy fills the air, bringing tranquility with each breath and peace as you enjoy its serene beauty.
